Apps can be purchased for your ArcGIS Enterprise organization as part of app bundles and user types, or separately as add-on apps. These apps will be included in your portal license file.
The following sections describe apps that can be used with your ArcGIS Enterprise portal, and how they are licensed.
AppStudio for ArcGIS
AppStudio for ArcGIS allows you to convert maps and GIS data into native apps that can be shared with others in your enterprise or to the public through popular app stores. The apps built with AppStudio are cross-platform—that is, they will run on Android, iOS, Linux, macOS, and Windows platforms. When AppStudio is included with a member's user type, it provides a low-code solution for creating apps. Members can build apps with configurable app templates, extend templates with custom code, or create apps from scratch. Administrators can also assign members an add-on license for AppStudio for ArcGIS Developer Edition to access advanced app templates and other tools. With this add-on license, members can create a custom stand-alone build of their app suitable for a public app store (App Store or Google Play) or enterprise distribution.
AppStudio for ArcGIS is included with the Essentials Apps Bundle in the core Esri user types, such as GIS Professional, Creator, Editor, Field Worker, and Viewer.AppStudio for ArcGIS Developer Edition is available as an add-on license. Members with included or add-on licenses can access the app from the app launcher or download the software from appstudio.arcgis.com.

ArcGIS Business Analyst web app
ArcGIS Business Analyst web app enables commercial Realtors, retailers, economic development agencies, and others to evaluate markets for expansion, consolidation, or investment.
To use ArcGIS Business Analyst with ArcGIS Enterprise, see the installation overview for requirements and instructions. The ArcGIS Business Analyst web app requires an add-on license, and each portal member needs a license to use the web app. Follow the instructions in Manage licenses to view license details and manage member licenses.
ArcGIS Configurable Apps
ArcGIS Configurable Apps allow you to build web apps from your web maps, scenes, and groups without having to write code. ArcGIS Configurable Apps are included with the Essentials Apps Bundle in the core Esri user types, such as GIS Professional, Creator, Editor, Field Worker, and Viewer. ArcGIS Configurable Apps are included in the portal and no additional installation is necessary.
ArcGIS Excalibur
ArcGIS Excalibur is a web app that modernizes and enhances image-based workflows through intuitive experiences. These experiences allow you to search, discover, and work with imagery in fully integrated workflows for image analytics and exploitation. ArcGIS Excalibur requires an add-on license and additional installation.
ArcGIS Enterprise Sites
ArcGIS Enterprise Sites allows you to create a tailored web page experience for your users to help you share your portal's authoritative content to other departments. Instead of learning to navigate the portal, members can go directly to the custom web page you create to navigate the content relevant to them. Sites is included with the Essentials Apps Bundle in the core Esri user types, such as GIS Professional, Creator, Editor, Field Worker, and Viewer. No additional installation is necessary.
ArcGIS Insights
ArcGIS Insights is an app you access through your portal that allows you to perform iterative and exploratory data analysis on ArcGIS web services, Excel spreadsheets, and data stored in databases.
ArcGIS Insights requires an add-on license or the Insights Analyst user type, and requires an additional installation. Each portal member needs a license to use Insights. When a member is licensed to use Insights, they will have access to both the Insights web application and ArcGIS Insights Desktop. Follow the instructions in Manage licenses to view license details and manage member licenses.
ArcGIS Maps for Office
ArcGIS Maps for Office (formerly Esri Maps for Office) provides mapping capabilities in Microsoft Office through a Microsoft add-in. You can use this add-in with Microsoft Excel to create maps in your portal that show data from your spreadsheets. Additionally, an add-in for PowerPoint allows you to embed these maps into your presentations.
ArcGIS Maps for Office is included with the Office Apps Bundle in some of the core Esri user types, such as GIS Professional, Creator, or as an add-on license. You can download ArcGIS Maps for Office from the Esri website.

ArcGIS Maps for SharePoint
ArcGIS Maps for SharePoint provides mapping capabilities in Microsoft SharePoint through a Map Web Part for SharePoint pages. You can use this to display content from your portal in your SharePoint pages. It also includes workflows that allow you to spatially enable and geo-enrich SharePoint lists or external data through Business Connectivity Services (BCS).
ArcGIS Maps for SharePoint is included with the Office Apps Bundle in some of the core Esri user types, such as GIS Professional and Creator, or as an add-on license. You can download ArcGIS Maps for SharePoint from the Esri website.

Note:
ArcGIS Maps for SharePoint 3.0 and 3.0.1 are not supported in a disconnected environment. If your organization does not have access to the internet, you can't use these app versions with ArcGIS Enterprise.
ArcGIS Mission Manager
ArcGIS Mission Manager is the web app that allows users to create and interact with missions using ArcGIS Mission, a real-time geospatial communications and situational awareness tool.
ArcGIS Mission Manager requires an add-on license and is installed separately as part of ArcGIS Mission.
ArcGIS Pro
The ArcGIS Pro application is part of ArcGIS Desktop, which has three levels—Desktop Basic, Desktop Standard, and Desktop Advanced—with each level providing additional functionality. Only ArcGIS Pro uses licensing through the organization. Other ArcGIS Desktop applications—ArcMap, ArcCatalog, ArcGlobe, and ArcScene—use the local ArcGIS Administrator application to set levels and extensions.
ArcGIS Pro is included in the GIS Professional user types, or as an add-on license. You can assign a member a license level and enable access to optional extensions that provide specialized tools as well. For a member to use an extension, the member needs both a level and a license for the specific extension product.
When the member to whom you have assigned a license starts ArcGIS Pro and signs in, the application runs with the level and any extensions you specified. However, if you have not specified licensing for a particular member, ArcGIS Pro will not run when that member attempts to sign in. You can reassign licenses as often as necessary, and the resulting changes take effect promptly in ArcGIS Pro. If you completely revoke the license while the member is working in ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Pro displays notifications that the software is not authorized and starts the process of closing automatically. After a grace period ends, the member is prompted to save any work and is no longer able to use ArcGIS Pro.
In ArcGIS Pro, a member can check out a license to authorize ArcGIS Pro for use in a disconnected environment. A red box displays next to the member's name when the license is checked out. When a license is checked out, you cannot make any changes or revoke the license. If you select multiple members and at least one member is running ArcGIS Pro in disconnected mode, you cannot configure licenses for any of the selected members.
For organizations requiring more control over offline usage of ArcGIS Pro, an administrator or a member with licensing privileges can prevent all ArcGIS Pro licenses in the organization from being taken offline.
If the device using the checked out license is lost or destroyed, the member will be unable to check out a new license or use ArcGIS Pro in a connected environment. In this case, you'll need to release the checked out license using the ArcGIS Portal Directory. This frees the outstanding license and allows the member to check out a new license or use ArcGIS Pro in a connected environment.
In a connected environment, you can remotely terminate an ArcGIS Pro session. For example, a member is signed in and has ArcGIS Pro actively running on three machines simultaneously (the maximum allowed) but has left the office and now needs to use ArcGIS Pro in the field. Terminating a session allows the member to sign in and start ArcGIS Pro. In addition, if ArcGIS Pro closed in an unexpected manner, you can terminate the session to quickly free the license.

ArcGIS QuickCapture
ArcGIS QuickCapture is a field data capture app that allows you to capture data fast. You can capture both the location and attributes of assets or incidents as you travel. A project author determines the arrangement of buttons, how they appear, and the information they collect. The app allows you to capture both photos and sensor information from the device.
ArcGIS QuickCapture is included with the Field Apps Bundle in some of the core Esri user types, such as GIS Professional, Creator, and Field Worker, or as an add-on license. The QuickCapture designer is included in the portal, and you can download the mobile app from Apple, Google Play, or Windows app stores.
Collector for ArcGIS
Collector for ArcGIS is a mobile data collection app that allows you to accurately capture new data and update existing features in the field, even disconnected, and integrate seamlessly into ArcGIS. Using Collector, you can collect and update data using the GPS or by tapping on the map, fill out map-driven forms, and optionally use professional-grade GPS receivers.
Collector for ArcGIS is included with the Field Apps Bundle in some of the core Esri user types, such as GIS Professional, Creator, and Field Worker, or as an add-on license. You can download the Collector for ArcGIS mobile app from Apple, Google Play, or Windows app stores.
Drone2Map for ArcGIS
Drone2Map for ArcGIS lets you visualize and analyze geolocated images you collect with a drone to help you inspect areas from the air and monitor changes. 2D and 3D maps you create with Drone2Map can be shared to your ArcGIS Enterprise portal.
Drone2Map requires an add-on license and additional installation. Each portal member needs a license to run Drone2Map. See Configure Drone2Map for ArcGIS licenses for instructions to set up licensing through the portal.
Once Drone2Map licensing is configured, follow the instructions in Manage licenses to view license details and manage member licenses.
Explorer for ArcGIS
Explorer for ArcGIS is a mobile app that allows everyone in your organization to access their maps everywhere they go, anytime they need them, even disconnected. You can visualize data, search for places and features in your maps, view information about your assets, mark up the maps to highlight important features, and get directed to hard-to-see assets with the compass.
Explorer for ArcGIS is included in the core Esri user types, such as GIS Professional, Creator, Editor, Field Worker, and Viewer. You can obtain the mobile app from Apple, Google Play, or Windows app stores.
GeoPlanner for ArcGIS
GeoPlanner for ArcGIS allows you to collaborate with other members of your portal organization on land-based planning and designs.
GeoPlanner for ArcGIS requires an add-on license, and each portal member needs a license to use the app. GeoPlanner is included in the portal and no additional installation is required. Follow the instructions in Manage licenses to view license details and manage member licenses.
Navigator for ArcGIS
Navigator for ArcGIS is a professional mobile navigation app that uses GIS software to route your field workforce. It comes with hundreds of global maps or add your own custom map. Define travel modes, route on your own roads, and search your assets. Work online or offline, on Android or iOS, and with other ArcGIS field apps.
Navigator for ArcGIS requires an add-on license, and each portal member needs a license to use the app. Navigator is included in the portal and no additional installation is required. Follow the instructions in Manage licenses to view license details and manage member licenses.
Operations Dashboard for ArcGIS
Operations Dashboard for ArcGIS allows you to monitor people, services, assets, and events in real time. Using Operations Dashboard, you can create and share dashboards with your ArcGIS Enterprise portal. Dashboards include charts, gauges, maps, and other visual elements, representing the activities and key performance indicators that are most vital to meeting your objectives.
Operations Dashboard is included with the Essentials Apps Bundle in the core Esri user types, such as GIS Professional, Creator, Editor, Field Worker, and Viewer. The app is included in the portal and no additional installation is necessary.
Survey123 for ArcGIS
Survey123 for ArcGIS facilitates form-centric data collection workflows in ArcGIS. For a good portion of data collection efforts, geography is critical but not central to the workflow. Survey123 for ArcGIS recognizes this fact and brings the sophistication of forms expected in the industry into ArcGIS.
Survey123 for ArcGIS is included with the Field Apps Bundle in some of the core Esri user types, such as GIS Professional, Creator, and Field Worker, or as an add-on license. Go to https://survey123.esri.com/ to create forms and publish to ArcGIS Enterprise. You can obtain the Survey123 for ArcGIS mobile app from Apple, Google Play, or Windows app stores.
Tracker for ArcGIS
Tracker for ArcGIS enables organizations to capture the tracks of field staff, monitor where they are, and analyze where they have been. Track patterns give decision-makers real-time information to support critical field activities and perform analysis in ArcGIS. It is a mobile solution comprised of two apps: The Tracker for ArcGIS mobile app and the Track Viewer web app.
The Track Viewer web app is included in the portal and available to administrators and portal members with the view location tracks privilege. The web app doesn't require the Tracker for ArcGIS add-on license.
Each portal member needs a license to use the Tracker mobile app. The license is available as an add-on license for the core Esri user types, such as GIS Professional, Creator, Editor, Field Worker, and Viewer. You can download the mobile app from Apple, Google Play, or Windows app stores. Follow the instructions in Manage licenses to view license details and manage member licenses.
Web AppBuilder for ArcGIS
Web AppBuilder is an intuitive what-you-see-is-what-you-get app that allows you to build web apps without writing code. With Web AppBuilder, you can build and customize apps that run on desktop, tablets, and smartphones with ready-to-use widgets such as querying, geoprocessing, and printing.
Web AppBuilder is included with the Essentials Apps Bundle in the core Esri user types, such as GIS Professional, Creator, Editor, Field Worker, and Viewer. The app is included in the portal and no additional installation is necessary.
Workforce for ArcGIS
Workforce for ArcGIS uses the power of location to achieve better coordination and teamwork in your field workforce. Get the right worker to the right place with the right tools to do the right job. Dispatchers use the Workforce web app to create and assign work, monitor progress, and see where workers are in real time. Mobile workers use the Workforce mobile app to work through their personal To Do list and communicate status.
